Wheels of Hope Charity Ride 2014
We had tremendous fun during Wheels of Hope Charity Ride from Putrajaya to Melaka over 197km. About 200 cyclists, support drivers and crew thronged Putrajaya before sunrise for the flag off along with Eileen Lui, the beneficiary called Children of Tomorrow from Myanmar.
Even a group of foldies were not perturbed by the long distance and formed a relay team. They swapped riders every 20km or so, therefore everyone had a bit of fun! Many of the cyclists finished the long ride despite the sweltering heat, and the massive congestions at Port Dickson due to the long holiday weekend and.. in Klebang due to a local popular thirst quencher called Coconut Shake, would you believe it!
The spirits were running high at the Century Mahkota hotel in Malacca as the cyclists trickled in before sun set. And everyone had a gale of a time before sitting down to a dinner well-deserved.
Here’s my little contribution for Wheels of Hope. I had compiled this fun video for presentation during the Gala Dinner. Besides this, I also managed to raise RM530 for Wheels of Hope through a small Charity Bake Sale organized through my brand, Yumific which teamed up with home-bakers.
